How do I safely handle lighter fluid?

Lighter fluid is exceptionally flammable, toxic and can harm the skin through direct contact. When pouring lighter fluid into a Clipper lighter, ensure that you are away from any open flames. After you have filled the lighter, wash your hands in case any excess lighter fluid gets onto your hands. Make sure you close the fluid very tightly and carefully, and that it is put out of reach of children. Store in an indoor, closed cupboard at room temperature.

Ensure the lighter is held away from your body and hair, and is only used for the purpose it was intended for (e.g. lighting a cigarette or a candle).
